Today marks 40 days left to go until the next session of Camp NaNoWriMo starts on July 1st. My plan has been to finish revising, writing, and establishing a timeline for my NaNo '13 novel before then, so that I can get back to revisions on my first Ruby Ransome novel in July. Will I make it? I'm not sure -- I'll have to step it up a little if I'm going to finish the NaNo '13 novel by then.
Thanks to some changes in my life lately, I haven't been working on my novel a whole lot. Part of that is because I've started freelancing again, and between that and the search for new freelance work, I haven't had a lot of extra time for working on my novel.
Back when I was freelancing full time, I rarely ever worked on any fiction because there was always paying work waiting for me, and it was hard to make the decision to work on my own projects when that was the case. I am hoping not to get stuck in that trap again this time, though, so I'm going to start trying to carve out some time every day to work on my novels. Perhaps an hour? With any luck, that will help me to achieve my goal of finishing my NaNo '13 novel by June 30th.
