Despite my excitement for having finally started working on my Camp NaNo novel during my vacation week, I never got back to work on it after that first night.
I'm disappointed, but I did get a lot else done that week. However, I am now faced with the dilemma of how to reintroduce working on my fiction every day with my new, busier schedule.
Theoretically, I could -- and it may turn out this way, despite my best intentions -- wait until summer ends, the kids go back to school, and my schedule goes back to being afternoons only. That'll give me several more hours every day for freelancing and working on my novels.
I'd like to try to find the time before then, though, despite the strain on my schedule. I was thinking of setting a goal for myself to work on my novel for an hour every day -- what I had intended to do during Camp NaNo. It's not a lot of time in the grand scheme of things, but it'll hopefully get me back into the habit before the kids go back to school.
